"Get out of your wheelchair and stop being lazy, you are too young to be disabled"

Posted by his constituent on a disability group. The complaint response from Tory HQ was "He has been dealt with appropriatly".

David Cameron may have had a disabled son, but that hasn't stopped him from showing no empathy or understanding for the financial struggles that many parents of disabled children face.

Bloody hell.
I'm sure those who voted these dispicable people into power are satisfied. Hope they never become disabled or have a disabled child*

^^ exactly.

InDespair · 13/05/2015 17:20

and Le Chien he also used his sob story about his disabled child to get the sympathy votes yet couldn't give a flying fuck about the rest of disabled people.

and he had the best carers and help for his child.

And he has the nerve to call Miliband despicable.

BettyCatKitten · 13/05/2015 17:23

I'm seriously concerned, I work with disabled children. Their families lives are hard enough with services, let alone without them.
Some of the families we support barely cope now.
If they take away support, the result will be children being put into full time care. That will cost more in the long run. Not to mention destroyed lives and relationships.

PtolemysNeedle · 13/05/2015 17:26

You're judging this guy based on what his colleague said on Facebook some years ago. Seriously?

There are plenty of other things out there that you could judge him, why have you placed any importance on a vague FB response that he didn't even make? Confused

Samcro · 13/05/2015 17:27

i don't get the "shock"
what did people expect to happen??
that the government would suddenly give a shit about disabled people?
it doesn't matter who gets that job, none of them care.look at their leader, shuts down debate. People still voted them in.

Samcro · 13/05/2015 17:28

"David Cameron has experience of a disabled child..... I need say no more."

yes and he uses that to shut down debate. just as you are trying to do.

InDespair · 13/05/2015 17:28

I know someone who works with disabled children and in the past has said sometimes parents are crying and stressed with the strain of it all and she said she only has them for a few hours a day, the parents and families have to live with them.

yet she still voted for these fuckers.

Im bloody petrified of this government, both DC and I are disabled and our relationship has suffered with all the worry and stress and fear for the future.

I don't know how these politicians can sleep at night.

SlaggyIsland · 13/05/2015 17:32

Samcro I believe mumsnit was making the point that David Cameron having a disabled son has not granted him any empathy to others in that position.

JoanHickson · 13/05/2015 17:34

In, answer their employees care for relatives with disabilities and they have little care for the population.

I didn't vote this lot in either, and the Lib dems got scapegoated.

LeChien · 13/05/2015 17:34

InDespair, I suspect they have no problem sleeping.
I know plenty of right wing voters who somehow believe that disability is something that happens to losers, and if they can't provide enough to cope, then they are scroungers (I am both a loser and a scrounger apparently). In the long term, "these people" don't matter a jot to whoever has seen fit to vote David Cameron back in.

I know this looks like I'm goading, but I'm not, I personally know several people who believe this.

BettyCatKitten · 13/05/2015 17:36

Yes InDespair
Many parents ring us in tears, asking for extra help. It's very distressing. I fear it's about to get worse.

Mrsjayy · 13/05/2015 17:37

Well DC probably wants to weed out the malingerers hypochodriactsand liars to cut his henefits bill to show the deficit is balanced out get those lazy bastards back to work

GratefulHead · 13/05/2015 17:38

Yep....I do feel for the Cameron's as its horrible to lose a child. Fact is though that they could easily afford Carers and Nannies. I seriously doubt they were up all night with Ivan except in his final days perhaps. They have a snapshot experience of what lots of parents go through when their child is very disabled.

They claimed DLA, and I'm glad they did as that was for Ivan, I have no criticism of that.

They also got very regular respite due to the carers they coukd afford to employ. They have little idea of what normal families face with cuts to community and social services because they didn't need those.

IKnowIAmButWhatAreYou · 13/05/2015 17:56

Reported & asked for it to be moved to the Politics section.

Yes, and don't worry about fucking over the majority who aren't malingerers. Even the most disabled person can be productive, and if they're not, they're lazy fuckers and deserve everything they get.

Not goady at all, absolutely spot on.

I too am apparently a loser and scrounger, and our own faults we are disabled FFS. makes me so bloody angry .
