Fucking Facebook selling pages...!

I hate it when someone posts something for sale and then it's pm me for details

When I questioned it with why and she said you can only put one pic in the post

"You cant in the comments its 1 at i time. Iv sent everyone a few pics of the stuff iv got i have alot more to take"

Who would want that? LivinLaVidaLoki

TheWitTank · 13/05/2015 16:40

Jesus Livin -that's the thing of nightmares! Horrific! HmmShock
One if the equestrian selling sites I'm on have strict rules that you must include price and location. No PM me for details allowed. They delete adverts that don't follow the rules. It's refreshingly easy.

thewomaninwhitefluffybunnyears · 13/05/2015 16:44

And now I feel better to know that I am in good company. These FB selling adds boil my piss too for these reasons. Generally admin stamp on the 'PM me for details' posts thanfully. Too much 'hunning' and basic lack of bloody manners in some cases too.

Livin, that is so wrong. I actually feel that is distasteful and potentially offensive tbh. My outlook is rather different having lost DD1 at birth but that is not okay. I mean posting it on FB as something to buy rather than you posting it here if that makes sense.

cash waiting.

That one really annoys me I don't know why it just seems a bit del boy.

More irritated by
'XXX for sale offers'
'How much you thinking'
'make an offer'
'no really just give me an idea'
'looking for offers'

thewomaninwhitefluffybunnyears · 13/05/2015 16:52

Sorry Livin, I wasn't moaning at you at all. This is the problem of the keyboard sometimes. I truly didn't take offense at you posting this. More the thought of someone posting it as something to buy/like. Silly perhaps but a massive difference. It does not offend me here but I am a good number of years down the line now.

thewomaninwhitefluffybunnyears · 13/05/2015 16:53

Offence. Ah, I give up. A long day!

BeeRayKay · 13/05/2015 16:56

What the fuck is that? @Livin

WannabeLaraCroft · 13/05/2015 16:58

There's someone selling a designer shirt on one of my local FB pages, £10 and in "excellent" condition, even though there are quite obviously 2 stains on the front of it, and the cuffs are faded having been washed a billion times. Hmm

The poor woman has been bumping that same post for weeks now.

Take the fucking hint, love.

Oh good, I didn't want you to think that I was getting at you. I wasn't :)

I do think that it could potentially upset so thanks for being so thoughtful.

Back to the annoying FB selling page people. Sorry for the derail!

SistersofPercy · 13/05/2015 17:10

They have a more extensive vocabulary on yours. Mine consists of:

"HM hun?"

SistersofPercy · 13/05/2015 17:13

Though did see one the other night that had me laughing.

HM Hun?
Offers
25?
for lots more I was looking

I was in pieces. Yoda is on our fucking selling page.

gaggiagirl · 13/05/2015 17:16

Everyone is called chick on mine.

Hm chick

iwanttogotothechaletschool · 13/05/2015 17:28

Our local page is quite strict will delete ads if there are no prices, people still try it though and then complain when the ad is deleted.

A common one I see is "looking for (expensive item) must be in a excellent condition , free and must be able to deliver."

Our local site also has problems with people buying items and then there being a problem with it, they duly post a rant which is followed by numerous posts of go to trading standards hun or phone the police. Any lone voices pointing out that it is buyer beware promptly gets shouted down and accused of being in league with the seller.

Panzee · 13/05/2015 17:35

"Not definitely selling, just seeing what I could get for it if anyone's interested" grr.

lampygirl · 13/05/2015 20:33

At least the Facebook selling pages give me the choice to entertain these morons. Much preferable to eBay, where people seem obsessed with quibbling shit, but you have to deal with them because they've won your auction.

WinterIsGoing · 14/05/2015 16:53

glad its not just me then!

I hate it when you post something and someone just 'likes' it. You either would like to buy it or you wouldn't. Don't fucking like something you have interest in purchasing.

The appalling grammar and spelling in mine are shocking. And all the 'huns' live on these sites. Ffs, I don't know you, I've never met you, I'm not your sodding hun!

What on earth was the picture of?

WyfOfBathe · 17/05/2015 19:11

I always assume that if they won't give the price publically, it's because they know it's astronomically high!

Crapbag I agree about the 'liking' thing! My aunt likes every post I make (not just selling ones, but in general). The other day I posted that I was giving away some baby stuff if anyone wanted them and she 'liked' it. I'm assuming she doesn't want a board book for her 17 year old!

Livin is it okay if I ask what the picture was of? You can pm me if you don't want to say on here?

WyfOfBathe · 17/05/2015 19:12

Unless maybe saying pm me what a photo is of is as annoying as saying pm me for picks Wink
