For what essentially are just flip flops which cost £20/30? Or am I missing something?

Mine are ace and 100% worth the money - that said, got 3 pairs for £8 each in Matalan so not had to pay full price. I heart them a lot.

OnlyLovers · 12/05/2015 16:46

YABU; they're soft but springy, not like the horrid plasticky ones that jar or the soft spongy ones that just compress and stay compressed.

They come in lovely colours [shallow] and are made of recycled materials.

They sometimes turn up on Amazon or in TK Maxx at a discount.

NKfell · 12/05/2015 16:57

YANBU but...Oooh I love havaianas!

I have a few pairs and I wear them often...including now!

Pigriver · 12/05/2015 17:16

I bought 2 pairs in Brazil about 8 years ago. The standard 'men's?' Ones that are all one colour with the little flag on are still going. Really comfy and still look ace.
The other pair was a fancy 'fashion' pair. Girly colours and a quirky strap. These got given away to a friend after a year. Still looked new but not comfy at all.
Cost about £6 from a Brazilian dept store.

Same as everyone else. My poor trotters have been forced into all sorts over the years and Havaianas are way better than anything else similar. Mine are on their fourth year and just starting to get a bit worn now.

MaidOfStars · 12/05/2015 17:22

They are very good value for money. Mine are a few years old and still (almost) like new.

They are pricey, but I've had mine for 3 years and they look like new. They've never rubbed either.

YABU - I wore cheaper flip flops for years and decided to invest in a pair last summer - I pretty much live in them and they're still going strong is year, so works about £12.50 a year?

MadisonMontgomery · 12/05/2015 18:16

I bought mine over 10 years ago & still going strong!

sportinguista · 14/05/2015 21:55

I live in mine! Except when I reluctantly switch to slippers December till February. In fact the whole family has them. We buy them in Portugal generally where they are cheaper. Have some that are still going strong years on. My favourites are a pair of slims with metallic purple and star trim.

Soz8 · 16/05/2015 09:15

They are so comfy! I have had one pair for 5 years and they still look like new! Definitely worth the money!!!

Yabu.
Whilst they are not 20 times as comfy they do last 20 times longer than the cheap pairs in my experience.

Twirlwirlywoo · 16/05/2015 17:54

They are just flip flops but cool ones!

They may be slightly better quality but not £24 more - good quality.

Also - don't you get bored of the same shoes every summer. Ever fancy a change?

I am a Primark Flip Flop fan! I have just bought some for £2. Although I didnt need to - last years are still going strong. I just fancied a change.

DD2 has some Havianas - they seem a bit stiffer than my pr1mark ones but after 1 summer they wear looks the same.

DD1 had some Jack Wills ones last summer that she could not wear without getting blisters - so she ended up at Primark too.

OnlyLovers · 17/05/2015 11:20

I don't get bored of them because I have quite a few pairs Blush so they always feel 'fresh'.

They are really the best flip flops. Do you have a friend with a costco card as they are much cheaper there.
