My DP recently asked me to marry him. It's been joked about before but it wasn't a premeditated thing, he decided, asked my dad, bought the ring and got down on one knee. When we started telling people, some people asked if I had thought about an engagement present for him... Is that a thing? Am I meant to buy him a present now? Did anyone else buy their partners a present and if so, what?? I have no ideas. Confused Blush

I got DP a ring for our engagement. It cost a twelfth of mine. We aren't having wedding rings. I don't need two to do the same job.

I chose my engagement ring ( had it made) with a view to only wearing one as a sign of our committment and as such I wanted all the value in one ring

It's beautiful, unique and I love it very much. But not more than the lovely man who gave it to me.

My DH seemed happy enough with a blow job. GrinBlush

I had already bought him a Claddagh ring (he's Irish) that he now wears to show he is engaged so I can't get him a ring. He mentioned wanting a more casual watch, maybe I'll get him a nice, less formal watch. Oh this consumerist society we live in!
