AIBU to think think that the baby will start to dislike her seat in the double buggy?

Mainly due to the fact that she can't she out as she's underneath.

I bought a £££ icandy double which has been very good whilst she sleeps most of the time.

Now she's 5 months and starting to become more alert, I'm worrying she'll start getting fed up with nothing to look at.

Has anyone else had this problem?

People put me off a side by side when we were looking but now I sort of regret not going for one.

am eyeing up an out and about nipper or baby jogger but don't want to waste more money

We had a phil and teds so a similar set up. Dd never complained. Although she soon moved to the front seat as ds did the in-and-out of the pushchair toddler thing and he used the behind seat.

But neither of them ever got fed up in the back. Happy days Smile

We had a Phill and Teds (similar set up) and mine used to argue over who got to sit in the back. So I wouldn't be certain that is how it will be

My sil had this problem. But then she does love buy new pushchairs she had 2 babies in two years and has had 6 pushchairs. So not sure how much of a problem it really was. I think she just wanted a new one Grin.

Now her oldest is walking further and doesn't go it, she is looking buy no. 7 , a single buggy for the younger one

We had a Phil and teds and mine were fine, moved the youngest to the front when the oldest walked everywhere, use the back seat to carry shopping

I have a similar pushchair, I've never found it to be a problem. Same as the others, the youngest is now in the front while the toddler (2.10) walks and gets in the back when she needs a rest

jendot2 · 05/05/2015 08:03

I am a childminder with a phil and teds and the toddlers argue about who gets to sit in the back. Babies never seem to be worried about the view.

UncertainTea · 05/05/2015 08:21

Mine used to fight over the lower seat!

londonrach · 05/05/2015 08:32

Dsis had a similar one. Dont remember any problems.

CaitSith · 05/05/2015 08:54

I've got a Joovy Caboose and it's brilliant. Had an extra rear seat for while DS1 was still sleeping in the pushchair, now that's off and he uses the bench seat or stands while 8 month old DS2 sits in the front. Can be a bit unwieldy steering wise till you get used to it but now I love it, and I don't drive so it gets a lot of use. Never had a problem on public transport or in shops, and it's pretty cheap too, especially if you import from the U.S. Got mine from Amazon.com, and the orange one (which I've got and is a nice colour) is only £80 ish quid plus shipping on there at the moment.

ShadowFire · 05/05/2015 08:57

We had a similar pushchair and DS2 never seemed bothered about it.

SaBearOz · 05/05/2015 09:19

We have the icandy peach and the baby can see out via the sides quite easily and it has never been a problem. Baby is now 17 months and the 3yo now likes going in the back so they swap.

TheIronGnome · 05/05/2015 09:46

It's never a problem, unless you make it one... Treat the back seat as something bad which is a consolation prize and they'll soon learn to kick up a fuss about it. I've used one for 3 different sets of children and never had an issue.
