With every email from the conservative party, they are showing me how "out of touch" they are - FUND their campaign? ME? WTF!

Should they not do a little research before they send out emails to citizens asking for money to support their campaign?

Do they really think they will get my vote by asking me to send them money? ME?? Send money to the likes of the Camerons? Wealthy elitist toffs? Funds from ME????? Confused

The Labour Party email me constantly, and they keep writing to DH through the post For some reason, the Tories only seem to write to me, not him. DH thinks it is because his name sounds a bit too "foreign".

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 04/05/2015 22:09

Up to now. I've had nothing asking for money. I had one leaflet saying vote conservatives. I just wrote NO and threw it in the bin. I didn't even read it, as I've got no intentions of ever voting for them.
What has happened under their watch is unforgivable and corrupt such as the ex soldier dying after. Cruel benefit sanction, people committing suicide due to the bedroom tax and benefit sanctions, (it doesn't matter what they've done how many appointments they've missed it's not punishable by malnutrition and starvation,) people queueing up at food banks in the 21st century.
And they have the damn audacity to ask people for money.
Just further confirms how out of touch they are.

Kampeki · 04/05/2015 22:16

Only one leaflet? Wow!

We live in a marginal, so we're being constantly bombarded. I reckon we have probably had at least 60 leaflets through the door in recent weeks. I'm actually amazed at the emails asking for money, as from where I'm sitting, it looks like they have plenty to spend!

MargoReadbetter · 04/05/2015 22:45

Ah, that explains it then. We are not in a marginal, so not worth bothering with.

Do others do rude hand gestures at party posters? I work in Kent, in UKIP territory. I'll get an RSI.

MoominKoalaAndMiniMoom · 04/05/2015 23:01

I go for a good old hearty 'Fuck off!' whenever I see a Tory or UKIP poster. Usually in the car, although it's escaped my mouth while walking a couple of times too Grin

The bombardment has just started here.

DoTheStrand · 04/05/2015 23:17

My 4 year old had an email from Ed Miliband a few weeks ago (to my email address but written to him). I assumed they'd decided this election was a write-off and were concentrating on 2030 Grin

HeeHiles · 04/05/2015 23:20

LibDems emailed me telling me I could win a dinner with John Cleese!!!! Hell no!

HeeHiles · 04/05/2015 23:24

Did you get also an email about winning dinner with Hugh Grant?

Yes I got that one too! Yuk - I felt dirty....Another one wondering how Libs got my email address!

GiddyOnZackHunt · 04/05/2015 23:31

We had not one but two leaflets through the post from our shiny faced twat of a Tory candidate. Leaflet addressed to DH tackled the weightier issues. Mine was half the size and wasn't designed to trouble my intelligence. Now DH and I don't have matching surnames and his is first alphabetically but I can't shake the 'little woman, little leaflet' feeling.

But nobody's emailed me at all Sad

SorryToDisturbYou · 05/05/2015 09:23

GiddyOn Grin that does sound like a genuinely female-targeted leaflet, if they didn't know the relationship between two differently-surnamed people they'd have sent the same thing, surely?

Perhaps it was smaller so you could lift it easily with your tiny lady arms, and without breaking a nail.

DoraGora · 05/05/2015 09:28

Email pack your paypal account, explaining that you've just started your own political party, and could they send you some, instead.

JoanHickson · 05/05/2015 09:29

Can I please apologise on behalf of our local Labour party for inappropriate phone calls. Blush

I was given a list of Labour supporters/voters. The list was wrong sometimes and I wasted the time of people who were not supporters.

My guess is at some point to get rid of someone from labour they lied and said they voted labour to get rid. All they achieved is be put on a supporter list. Confused

My guess is you are on a conservatism supporter list my advice contact your local party and ask to be removed. They will do so gladly as they won't wast to waste their time or your time again.
