DH been offered Wimbledon tickets with Corporate entertaining as part of his new job. I've never been before. But I've just realised it's my DDs Sports Afternoon that day.

I have to go to Sports day dont I?

You'll have a wonderful day OP. Don't waste it.

Does not going to sports day mean dd can't go? Or is it that you want to go to cheer her on? I guess it depends if you think she'll care. I'd imagine loads of parents won't be there - lots will work. Personally I don't see why you have to sacrifice a nice day out for this.

limitedperiod - admittedly, it's a rather posh private prep!

PiperIsTerrysChoclateOrange · 04/05/2015 14:33

I would go to sports day.

Wimbledon happens every year, it will continue long after DC leave school. I want to be there.

There again I would rather tear my eyes out than go to Wimbledon.

TheEggityOddity · 04/05/2015 14:36

God I would do Wimbledon! I think if your mum or dad can be there to watch and they can watch each other, it won't be the end of the world to them. Just make sure you have an appropriate prize bribe on your return!

LisaD1 · 04/05/2015 14:39

I would go to Wimbledon. Have been a few times now with corporate hospitality and it really is a great day out. Do something nice with the kids at the weekend.

limitedperiodonly · 04/05/2015 14:56

I knew you'd say that manic.

Not judging, though would it be too much to as you to provide photos of the next one? Wink

Sports day every time. Wimbledon is every year, your kids wanting to share their day with you may not be.

AuntyMag10 · 04/05/2015 17:58

Wimbledon no question. You can attend sports day next year. This opportunity might not come again. Definitely ask your mum to attend on your behalf.

Leeds2 · 04/05/2015 18:10

I would go to Sports Day, and hope to get invited to Wimbledon next year!

limitedperiodonly · 04/05/2015 18:13

I was Mary at the Nativity. My mum made my costume but didn't come because she was working. I'm not scarred. If she'd missed something as good as a corporate Wimbledon jolly to watch me I'd have been touched but thought she was mad.

namelessposter · 04/05/2015 18:50

I'd be at Wimbledon. A Granny would be representing me at sports day.

GreenPetal94 · 04/05/2015 19:59

I'd go to Wimbledon and explain why to your daughter

PunkrockerGirl · 04/05/2015 20:05

Wimbledon, definitely. And no, I'm not the slightest bit jealous
