is it safe to mix tic tacs?

I mean the orange/lime and cherry/passion ones. Nothing weird involving mint? Or will bad things happen? I've got 2 big boxes both half full and i'm thinking of mixing.

Be careful. The ones in the same boxes are safe...if you're feeling brave. But my sister tried Orange/ cherry and she hasn't...she hasn't been the same.

The tic tack fruit festival pack, limited edition in summer 2013, contained all four of lime, cherry, passion fruit and orange, totally mixed up. A bad thing happened to me in a bus in Turkey when I cracked open a box of those little blighters. It was worth it though...

Having consulted my colour wheel, I am convinced your suggested orange/lime and cherry/passion combo will tilt the planet dangerously away from its optimal tictacochromic axis. But harmony can yet be restored if you introduce some blackcurrant/blue raspberry.

We have raspberry and strawberry Tic Tacs here. Kindred flavours though so I eat them all turn a blind eye.

S2 reported seeing apple cherry flavour but luckily he has had a sound upbringing and did not partake.

There are rumours of a popcorn flavour.

Mixing Smarties is kind of irrelevant as only the orange has any flavour.

There is a slight fizz to the strawberry and/or raspberry Tic Tacs which I can't quite identify. Here there is much fondness for "sour" sweets, maybe that's why.

Baffles me frankly. If I want to shudder there are so many other ways.

I mix lime and cherry and orange and passion fruit. I like them better than with their cell mates. DH is very about it because it means I need two boxes every time.
