Oi! That's my trampoline.

It's a bargain at £70.

Bloody outrage...

TwinkieTwinkle · 30/04/2015 23:04

Why would anyone in their right mind buy one of those dolls?!

thelittleredhen · 30/04/2015 23:11

I'm the one and only admin on a local selling page - fucking love it. I make a habit of deleting all of the messages that say

Bump
Sfs
Bump
.
.
.
Sfs
Will take £12 if gone today

Crappy messages and I also delete when people post to just take the piss. The other day there was a lady selling a gorgeous silver cross travel system in very good condition for about £300/350 and someone offered her £30 for the car seat and was outraged when she turned her down.

ParkingFred · 30/04/2015 23:12

My local one is hilarious, and full of half wits. At my book club last week we had an amusing half hour of reading some of the posts out. The crafter wannabes are priceless.

Someone was actually offering weeds from her garden! Ok they were forget-me-nots, but honestly!

Reignbeau · 30/04/2015 23:16

Someone on mine was trying to sell kids activity books from the poundshop that her kid had done a couple of pages of and then got bored.

SistersofPercy · 30/04/2015 23:25

Along similar lines I got banned from my local free cycle for pointing out that the 'elderly retired gent' who wanted your old watches to 'tinker with in his retirement' was actually making several hundred a month flogging them through eBay and he'd not even fixed them!

Apparently it was up to the giver if they wanted to give. I questioned that had the advert read "wanted, your watches to flog on eBay" they could have made a more informed decision and was banned. Still, this all played out openly so I think I ended his enterprise Grin

myusernameisusername · 01/05/2015 02:31

i get flamed many times for correcting people's spelling Wink i find it quite fun

MidniteScribbler · 01/05/2015 03:01

I got banned from mine because some posted 'Does anyone know where I can get a three seater sofa (black leather), coffee table (black), fridge (stainless steel) and king sized bed?' and I replied 'A furniture shop.'

Wrong response apparently.

kiwimumof2boys · 01/05/2015 06:10

Midnite Smile funny reply!
Findo Don't agree with you - speaking with an accent and using text speak are completely different. An accent you cannot 'control' so to speak if the language you are speaking is not your native tongue - yet text speak is just damn annoying and best left for 14 year olds.

LineRunner · 01/05/2015 06:25

Accents are wonderful.

Textspeak isn't.

CuttedUpPear · 01/05/2015 06:30

I agree, kiwi. Also, you must have to actually learn text speak - there seem to be standard 'words'. I'm not sure that it is less bother, it seems more like an affectation.

And WHY do all these people think it's ok to call me hun?
They have never met me!
I had an exchange with somebody yesterday who was hunning and putting rows of kisses on their correspondence within a couple of exchanges.

HellKitty · 01/05/2015 06:38

Aw Hun xxxxxxx

I refused to join mine despite being told by friends that I could easily make a £5 from some light fittings that is thrown in the skip.

As for newborn dolls. A friend (RL sadly) is getting one from FB. Scares the shit out of me, she was posting updates of this Chuckie looking thing that's just had its eyebrows stuck in.

HellKitty · 01/05/2015 06:40

^I'd thrown in a skip. FFS!!!
