I hate having to go out in the evenings
I love listening to Radio 4
I dream of retirement and moving to a nice village beside the sea (never going to happen!)

When I was a teen I never understood why older people wore jumpers and coats when it was warmer.

Now I know that those pesky draughts can creep in anywhere, and I have become one of those people

Time slippage.
A friend mentioned she had bumped into an old boyfriend of mine the other day;
Me "God, haven't seen him for 10 years!"
Her "Er, its 20..."
I had totally missed out a decade.

cozietoesie · 07/05/2015 20:12

When you remember what a Sinclair Spectrum actually was !

Orange I'm the same!!

I am usually found in a cardigan and blanket. In my house.

phlebasconsidered · 07/05/2015 21:38

I went to the Museum of Computing history with the kids last weekend (In Cambridge). I don't give a toss about modern games, but I spent hours there on Jet Set Willy, Harrier Attack, Knightlore and Asteroids. Not to mention Streetfighter.

It was chock full of mums and dads hogging the HUGE joysticks saying "In a minute!" to their kids, in a complete role reversal.

chockbic · 08/05/2015 11:48

Space Invaders and Pac Man too.

That's so funny about the parents.

NorahDentressangle · 08/05/2015 12:04

Do any of you still play modern computer games?

I never have but do wonder what I'm missing.

FretYeNotAllIsShiny · 10/05/2015 15:20

My dad is a keen gamer in his sixties, I used to be but now play mostly on the laptop. Had to laugh in a gaming chatroom when I was told I was too old (at 39!!!) to be on a games site by a 15 year old.

Ineedtimeoff · 10/05/2015 15:56

This and being bloody knackered all the time

To wonder how you recognise you're getting older

When everything you thought of as 'modern' is in fact vintage and/or is featured on bbc history programs.

When a good night out involves staying at home, being in bed by 9 and listening to the radio.

Yes to aging in spurts, over the past year my lower face has drooped by several inches.

Thanks for the WW2 ending realisation btw. Scary.

When your niece is amazed that you're older than the internet.

frankie001 · 10/05/2015 21:44

The fact that I don't drink now so I can drive home on an evening (note not a night!) Out to sleep in my own bed.

Orangeanddemons · 10/05/2015 21:54

I truly cannot remember when I was last awake after 11.00 pm. 10:00 pm on a work night, 10:30 on a weekend
