Dh put some boxes of 'egg n spoon' choc eggs in the fridge because his mum gave them to him and she kept them in the fridge. I pointed out they are not real eggs said they don't need to be in there. Put them on the side. We have a family of 5 and a small fridge. Space is at a premium. But he was a bit huffy I suppose it could be seen as an implied criticism of his mum...? I just don't get why chocolate needs to be in the fridge. I don't mind if someone does it but I like my choc at room temperature. No offense meant to chilled choc eatersWinkSmile

put Jaffa cakes in the freezer, when they are half frozen put them in the blender, then back in the freezer. Do this twice more over about four hours and you have Jaffa cake ice cream. Delicious.

I think cold chocolate is tasteless compared with room temp. DH likes his cold. He puts chocolate in the fridge when he wants to stop me eating it :-)

I never put chocolate in the fridge, it tastes horrible and cold!

I can only eat it if it's at room temperature.

Don't know anyone who puts it in the fridge.

Cheap chocolate in fridge, good chocolate definitely not, unless there's a heatwave!

FoulsomeAndMaggotwise · 30/04/2015 22:44

No no no. Chocolate doesn't taste of anything if it's too cold. Room temperature only, please!

Eggs in fridge - never
Chocolate in fridge - definitely!

FirstWeTakeManhattan · 30/05/2015 19:22

It really depends on the temperature of the room…we keep our rooms too warm for chocolate. Stored at room temp, then firmed up for an hour in the fridge is the way forward.

The good stuff is ok in the cupboard. The plastic stuff is probably better in the fridge.
