To get irritated by all the judging on here?

I am not against all judging. Judging can let us know what is right and wrong. But I am sometimes taken aback on here about the petty things some judge other women for.

AIBU? Yes or No?

Don't tell me why though, I don't want to be judged.....

CelibacyCakeAndFuckThePO · 23/04/2015 15:08

Something petty to you may be deemed important to others though.

OrlandoWoolf · 23/04/2015 15:10

I take it you haven't judged anyone on these threads or in RL then OP?

Judging can let us know what is right and wrong

Depends on your view of right and wrong.

TheMoa · 23/04/2015 15:14

You are taken aback OP? What, in a judgey kind of way?

lucycant · 23/04/2015 15:16

Yes in a judgey way. I have just realised I am doing exactly what I am judging others for doing.

So IABVVU

Going to make a cup of tea now.

I agree there's some terrible judginess and I am afraid that goes with AIBU territory.

OfaFrenchMind · 23/04/2015 15:21

So you are judging other when they don't judge like you? Naughty naughty...

CelibacyCakeAndFuckThePO · 23/04/2015 15:24

What brand of tea OP?

i judge anything other than Yorkshire tea

Shente · 23/04/2015 15:27

I agree op, I think we do all judge but I really hope my friends have lower standards than many on here or they will be permanently horrified by me!

YouTheCat · 23/04/2015 15:28

Rington's is the only tea.

londonrach · 23/04/2015 15:30

I dont tea. Will i now be judged?

Teapot74 · 23/04/2015 15:32

The judgey bit i don't like is when someone points out the obvious in response to a post (remember one about sheep being chased in a field) and then 300 others pile in to make the point aggressively as well. That's just mean IMHO :(

widdle · 23/04/2015 15:33

The thing is though people will always be more errrm forthright on an anonymous forum. I pretty sure/would hope they wouldn't say those sort of things in RL.

Having said that the default of some posters does seem to be snarky and rude rather than considered and helpful...

ByeByeButterfly · 23/04/2015 15:34

Judging I don't mind too much it's the high and nighties I hate.

"It's fair enough you want to do X but I'd find it uncomfortable personally" fine.

"I can't believe you'd consider doing that! If any friend of mine..." Just not nice.

ilovesooty · 23/04/2015 15:36

I wonder whether the OP has expressed her concerns on the threads in question.

It probably doesn't matter too much anyway. It seems that if people don't like the responses they often take steps to have the thread deleted "for privacy reasons" Hmm

timelyreminder · 23/04/2015 15:39

I agree there's probably too much judging in the world, and I don't think "everyone does it" lets us off the hook - we could at least aim to be a little less judgy instead.

I'm assuming this is a TAAT?

ArseTooBig · 23/04/2015 16:09

I get a bit Confused about the obsesison with 'judging' on MN. What is the difference between having an opinion and judging?
