DD is in y7 and the teacher taught them to remember a science experiment using words they know in an order.

She used Jimmy savile and said you will all remember that as its funny.

Aibu to be annoyed at this?

Why wouldn't they say "John Smith"? I never heard of JimS until the allegations emerged a yr after his death & my teenagers would be the same if those allegations hadn't been such big news (I'm sure the teenage DC still don't really understand what it was all about or why he was ever famous). I smell a rat.

There are so many alternatives it just doesn't make sense.

I think it is inappropriate and I would certainly be asking what exactly is funny about it.
