AIBU to turn to drink?

I was never a drinker before I had my DS (5 months old). I used to have one or two drinkd a month. i didn't have a single for fifteen months when I was trying to conceive, pregnant, and for three months after he was born.

But now I really look forward to my evening drink. DS has cows milk protein intolerance, and had very bad colic, and screamed constantly for the first three month of his life. I've got PND. I usually only have one drink, usually after DS goes to bed, but I've started already this afternoon. I never get drunk... AIBU? It worries me how much I've started to look forward to it!

I already treat myself to far too much chocolate!

Yes, it's the wanting it that bothers me and the fact that I genuinely feel a bit more able to cope after a bit of booze. That can't be right.

Actually that's what booze is for. Unless you're spitting it out like a true conniseur, most of the appeal lies in the fact that it takes the edge off.

Being shitfaced and unable to function is a worry when you're the parent on duty. Enjoying a glass of wine isn't a worry. Yes, fine, you're probably psychologically a bit dependent on this tiny reward for getting through the day. We're all dependent on some tiny reward. Don't be concerned.
