My dc went for a taster session at a sports club today.Afterwards the owner said they would be reporting back to the old club that thay had been to this club.I don't want them to do this because it is none of their business.I asked if it was a child protection procedure, and the owner said no.

Well what did you say after that then?

WalterWall · 15/04/2015 23:22

Did you ask why they would do this?

Satsumafairy · 15/04/2015 23:22

Why did he feel the need to do that?

SeenSheen · 15/04/2015 23:52

Are you sure this is the whole story?

BackforGood · 15/04/2015 23:52

So what did the owner say then?
It's not "usual" practice, so, as you challenged them, presumably you asked why they would want to do that.

CloserToFiftyThanTwenty · 15/04/2015 23:57

Depends if children are registered at the other club - even v small children have a unique RFU number, for eg, and if they change clubs the former club has to be informed. I think there are similar rules in football and other sports

BackforGood · 15/04/2015 23:59

Well, yes, if it is to play for a team, then players have to be registered with the league, etc.

You really need to give us more info, OP

manicinsomniac · 16/04/2015 00:08

Depends on their rules. My daughters would be asked to leave their dance studio if I took them to class elsewhere. Could it be something like that?

laughingcow13 · 16/04/2015 00:14

OK they do gymnastics at a club which treats us like crap.they went for a try out at another club. that was all just one session to see if they liked it
