They dont seem to get much press IMO.would like to see a lot more of them to help me decide. Would be good to see them against each other maybe in the apprentice or bake off? Anyone else agree?

First Lady is a different role as the President, unlike the PM, is head of state.

Koalafications · 14/04/2015 19:53

I couldn't give a fuck about their wives.

They should have nothing to do with the process whatsoever.

ljwales · 14/04/2015 21:21

I think your on to something, I'd like to see them as first ladies, don't think its a great role model to have these high powered jobs as they would employ a lot of extra help, and that's not an option for 90% of people

jesus, are you serious?

i think you are

PatriciaHolm · 14/04/2015 22:08

It's not a great model for women to have high powered jobs and employ help?

Have you escaped from the 1950s?

TondelayoSchwarzkopf · 14/04/2015 22:25

Well it would be if those people had high powered jobs. Confused

ovenisdrivingmecrazy · 14/04/2015 22:33

This must be a reverse?! Surely...?!Confused

Koalafications · 14/04/2015 22:37

ljwales you seem to be the OP of quite a few contraversial threads...

FirstWeTakeManhattan · 14/04/2015 22:50

I think the OP's suggestion that they take part in a Bake Off kind of gives it away.

SilverBirch2015 · 14/04/2015 23:17

He he, a wind-up, I presume? Hmm

BrightenMyNorthernSky · 14/04/2015 23:21

I'm with you OP. I'd like to know about their redecoration plans for number 10 should their men get (re)elected. This is important stuff.

Pico2 · 15/04/2015 00:50

I'm not convinced that Ed Miliband would be leader of the Labour Party if part of the deal when he made it to PM was that Justine had to jack in her job and get the marigolds on to keep house for him in n number 10.

fourteen · 15/04/2015 05:24

I think you're barking up the wrong tree here.

What we need is a BGT style democratic process, run over four or five weekends.

In the first one, all party leaders must bake a three tiered wedding cake to professional standards. The public then vote and the loser is ejected.

On the second weekend, the remaining candidates have to learn and perform a rhythmic gymnastics routine. Anyone falls flat on their face, they're out.

Etc.

Floisme · 15/04/2015 06:37

They should bring back 'General Election It's a Knockout'. How are we supposed to know who to vote for until we've seen how they fall into a vat of custard?

UptheChimney · 15/04/2015 07:17

Oh look, just throw them in the ring with the lions.

Justine & Sam (whoever they are), I mean.

Yonkersdoodle · 15/04/2015 09:01

You're absolutely right. The TV channels missed a trick, not getting all the spouses to have a Bake-Off on the red button while the debate was going on. I think I could be swayed towards Scottish Independence if I knew for sure that Peter Murrell's 'showstopper' really was show stopping.

AlphaBravoHenryFoxtons · 15/04/2015 09:13

I suspect any attempt to wheel out the wives will be furiously resisted by Labour.

ljwales · 16/04/2015 19:00

Well I do think a bake off special tonight would be more interesting, and get more people voting.
