To not know the risks of non vaccinated children near other children?

my sister in law lives in Australia and has a 1 year old. MIL told us last night that SIL is not vaccinating the baby. This is an issue in Oz at the moment as they're implementing a new plan whereby the parents of non-vaccinated children aren't going to get their family allowance money. [[

The ethics of this are of course questionable...

MIL is worried about SILS baby and about my children being near him..we're relocating to Oz later this year....but if my children are vaccinated then surely he poses no threat to them? MIL is also worried about SIL losing money. She's a single parent and works only 2 days per week so she's going to really struggle.

I'd be ok with that if you pay for the blood test yourself.

Bumbly yes I completely agree that more needs to be known about cp complications and what to look out for. As it was I knew on the Monday that my DS was having secondary complications and got fobbed off by 3 GPs and 111 until I finally listened to my instinct and took him to A&E on the Thursday and he was later put on a ventilator that night. Coincidently my DM is an immunisation nurse in Oz which might be why her colleagues were keen for my DS and DD to both have the cp injection (despite knowing the history and definite confirmation of cp) to help with the ease of having a certificate to prove they were fully immunised.
