to kill my next door neighbours

Long time lurker here and this is my first post

I work full time and Sunday is the only day I get a lay in.

Next door seem to enjoy playing their (country? Blues?) Music full volume on a Sunday morning. I say full volume as it has woken me up and through the (general well insulated) wall the resulting music is louder to me than I would choose to listen to music or tv on a morning or late at night

We spoke quite a bit when we first moved in but haven't seen them to talk to in ages (eg don't bump into them as we leave for work etc)

Have already moved the bed to the other end of the room as could hear it more (obviously) when my head was against the joining wall but right now I feel like I'm going crazy. I need sleep! !!
Aaargh they've just turned it up

I seem to remember another poster getting flamed for lying in at 8am on Easter Tuesday because some people have been up a chimney, spring cleaned the whole street & run a marathon by that timeWink.

If their music is so loud it's disturbing you, it's too loud. Go and ask them nicely if they could turn it down.

NB I am up at 7-7.15 weekday mornings, by 8 on Saturdays (it was 7.40 yesterday) and at 7.55 alternate Sundays. My idea of self-indulgence is 8.45. However, I used to be a lie-in monster and defend the OP's right to waste the day loll about under the duvet until noon if she wants to.

Mine started with the chainsaw at 7.30am yesterday. They woke the baby and the toddlers and destroyed any chance of me having a nice lie in as they looked out the window and shrieked at the falling trees. I just wanted until 8.30 or so, I don't think that's a lot to ask for? I am really very very tired.

I'm usually up by 9 on a Sunday but this morning at 5.45 I was woken up by my new-ish next door neighbour shouting.
This is an improvement on last week though when two large police vans/4 police officers turned up to arrest him for (loudly and possibly violently) threatening to throw his partner out of the house.
I'd prefer the music.

YANBU

My next door but I've neighbours had chickens for a while & yes they were that loud, at the bloody crack of dawn I could of killed them.

They finally got rid of the chickens, but have replaced them with a trampoline - and let their child play on it at 7am!

I once had a conversation with them about the trampoline, after it waking me up, I was in the garden 6.30 four year old bouncing away - they said 'your up early' I said 'yes, I bloody well am up early thanks to someone's trampoline!'

After that it stopped! - very pleased with myself!

KateSpade · 12/04/2015 15:47

That was - next door but one!

DrankSangriaInThePark · 12/04/2015 15:50

Ahhh now trampolines should be banned full stop.
In fairness, I am in Italy where everyone considers you an utter slattern if you haven't bleached your entire house 7 days a week by 630am.
This is why I don't let visitors in.
