You should be seeking help from someone for ordering avocados which are, without exception, the most disgusting foodstuff known to humanity.

I guess it's better than nothing, still not sure what to do with these poor relations. They just won't be as creamy and nice as I want

My google sources all suggest that the Fuerte is, in fact, the superior avocado. I'm told that it is less oily and has a stronger flavour than hugs hass variety. In fact, hass only became the dominant variety because it has a thicker skin and is, therefore, easier to ship long distances.

I don't actually care either way about types of avocado.

I don't like avocados, slimy and horrible things.

My main problem with the fuerte is that it is harder to tell when it is just the right level of ripeness. So often you end up having a disappointing one that's too hard. It also doesn't mush up as nicely.

The shiny fuerte tasted glorious fresh off the tree in a hot country, and watery after a long journey in an unripened state the hold of a ship.

You could have gone on their website and requested a refund by clicking on "inappropriate substitution" next to that item (unless they have changed things - it's a while since I've done it). It works even if you've originally "accepted" the item. I've done it when the delivery driver has forgotten to point out the subtitution to me and it's something I wouldn't have accepted. But at least you got a voucher, you can treat yourself next week .

Yes your right they maybe nice fresh off the tree, but the unripe ones that we get over here are just watery. Hass do still Tate good and have a good constancy after being transported round the world

Clearly a shit week for avocados at ocado. I got a sadface 'out of stock here are some substitute options'. Which I declined obviously, as none were hass.

Fuerte are superior in situ but very much not superior after travelling to britain, in my experience.

The quality of avocados in england is one of my major issues. If one of the political parties were promising to fix it I'd vote for them, probably even if it was the tories. Maybe not UKIP. Maybe UKIP. It'd be a close call.
