To think this is probably not the best way to introduce yourself to the entire street?

Got a printed letter through the door, complete with pictures.

Hi, I am x and have just moved into house y.

I want to introduce myself to my new friends and neighbours by.....

Trying to sell you all forever living!

NB. Pictures were of forever living stuff not of new neighbours.

Oh dear Grin

MagpieCursedTea · 08/04/2015 11:54

That's unfortunate! Grin

monkeysaymoo · 08/04/2015 11:56

Well see now I think she has done you a favour here. You know too be wary. She could have lured you in slowly with friendly chit chat and BAM before you know it you're stuck with a friend who is constantly trying to peddle her crappy over priced products at you!

Forever living reps are shameless in my experience.

FishWithABicycle · 08/04/2015 11:57

Could be worse. She could have parked so as to block your drive, demanded the right to paint your side of your garden fence whatever colour she chose and issued you with a restraining order to prevent your cats sunbathing provocatively.

LittleBairn · 08/04/2015 11:58

Goodness I know these people are notoriously pushy but she's only just moved in, you are strangers, does she have no self respect?!

fairgame · 08/04/2015 11:59

At least you know to avoid her now!

LaurieFairyCake · 08/04/2015 12:00

does she have no self respect

I think that you sell that when you sign your direct debit form

AnguaVonUberwald · 08/04/2015 12:01

I will definitely avoid house and any invites to house. Just need to find out what she looks like now so can avoid totally.

Who thinks that's a good way to introduce yourself to anyone.

If she has kids and suggests any kind of play date or meeting up for a coffe everyone will think she is just trying to sell them things!

AnguaVonUberwald · 08/04/2015 12:03

Fishwithabicycle. That would be worse!

(all things that neighbours have done according to MN threads I have known. Though not all the same person as yet)

monkeysaymoo · 08/04/2015 12:06

I think once you become a rep you regard all new people as potential customers mugs normal social niceties go out the window.

My SIL does something similar (not forever living something to do with juice) the woman has practically ignored me for the entire time she has been with BIL and literally the day she signed up for the business she sent me a friend request on facebook and a message telling me I would be an ideal addition to her team. I ignored the message and have hidden her on FB

NotNowBono · 08/04/2015 12:15

Oh, I remember the 'paint your fence the colour I choose even though I can't see it' thread...

FryOneFatManic · 08/04/2015 12:19

Could be worse. She could have parked so as to block your drive, demanded the right to paint your side of your garden fence whatever colour she chose and issued you with a restraining order to prevent your cats sunbathing provocatively.

This may still happen...... Grin

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 08/04/2015 12:23

This thread has potential for mumsnet gold if the new neighbour is pushy Grin

AnguaVonUberwald · 08/04/2015 12:31

Not that I want to disappoint mumsnet but am really hoping that she just leaves us alone!

OP posts:
Chesntoots · 08/04/2015 12:54

Could be worser - she could take your parcels, refuse to answer the door then mock you by hanging contents of said parcel on her washing line...

BeggingYourPardon · 08/04/2015 13:02

I'd rather my neighbours introduce themselves as swingers. At least you know they are game for a laugh.

Germgirl · 08/04/2015 13:54

Completely off thread but is that what happened to the lady who's neighbour wouldn't give her her parcel?!

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 08/04/2015 13:57

Oh dear. Asbo the fecker.

ahbollocks · 08/04/2015 14:14

Hahaaa oh so sorry for you right now

Greenteandchives · 08/04/2015 14:18

Never heard of this. Is it a new religion?

SnotQueen · 08/04/2015 14:27

Actually, she's a genius.
You will all be avoiding her so she won't have to make the chat with all the neighbours about where she came from, how much she paid, yadda yadda

Grin

What is Forever Living?
(With a name like that is must be made of indestructible plastic)

FelixFelix · 08/04/2015 14:53

Move out IMMEDIATELY.
