Took little poker face to the park today and their was a family guess possibly a group of friends one bloke and about 3 women with a fair few children

My daughter was playing with her ball and one of their boys fell over scrapped his knee very badly I called over no response so I asked the joy his mums name so called that no response called over again she strolled over as she approached it turns out they were smoking weed just like that openly in the part some of the others eventaly came over and the guy and a joint

Tbh if people want to do that in their own home with their kids in beds then what ever to to sit and smoke openly in a children park is just Shock whilest you with your own children any who I ask another mum to run into the coumminty centre across the road for their first aid kid they just stood their IT was really nasty they then say back on the grass and re lit wtf I just left because I was well pissed off

They didn't even try to help nor take him home just went back to smoke very low class in my view

YANBU I would certainly judge someone smoking weed in public with children in their care as low class scum.

Gileswithachainsaw · 08/04/2015 16:02

Well it was shitty of them sure. If your child's young enough to need supervising in a park then really you should be within supervising distance not stop of around smoking weed while everyone else watches your child.

being stoned in charge of kids can't be legal. and tbh it's not something if want my kids to see. There are areas it happens where it can't be avoided but you'd think a kids park would be exempt from sitting around smoking drugs or getting pissed. You'd think people could cope for an hour.

as it happens parks seem to be the place to do it. which is very sad really.

Genuine question - how do you know you are allergic to weed if you've never smoked it?

Who tests for that allergy under what circumstances?

MNpostingbot · 08/04/2015 16:30

Sorry - that post above was to Geekymommy, I'm intrigued.

hobNong · 08/04/2015 16:37

I'm intrigued about the allergy too.

Yanbu op. I saw a little boy fall over and start crying yesterday in a park too. His mum and dad were outside the gated playground drinking beers. They watched him burst into tears and start running towards them. They made no effort to go to him. He only looked about 3 years old.

I do think it is 'classless' behaviour, in that those who behave that way lack class. I don't mean they are of a lower social standing.

Liger123 · 08/04/2015 16:41

Urgh, "low class" is such a horrible phrase. FWIW, I've known plenty of "toffs" who liked to indulge in recreational drugs worse than cannabis.

geekymommy · 08/04/2015 16:50

I got on an elevator that everyone said was redolent of pot smoke. I couldn't smell it, because my nose and sinuses closed up and started running like a faucet.

sabrina00 · 08/04/2015 16:55

Your post is so incomprehensible that it looks as if you may have been smoking weed yourself. You're in no position, therefore, to judge anyone for their lack of "class".

Lilylonglegs · 08/04/2015 17:19

I don't like adults smoking around children full stop, be it cigarettes otherwise. Were they very young?

nickymanchester · 08/04/2015 20:58

I would just wonder if the OP comes from a Pakistani or Indian background.

The reason I say this is that I heard the phrase ''low class'' used commonly amongst people that came from an Indian English language heritage rather than a British English language background.

If this is the case then it may be that the OP is unaware of how a lot of people from a British English background would react to the phrase ''low class'' and that her meaning was closer to that suggested by gymboywalton above.

maddening · 08/04/2015 21:13

toffs indulging in drugs is as "low class" as these guys
