Cold Calling on a Bank Holiday

Have just had one! I know I was unreasonable and rude, but called the guy a wanker and told him to not call again. It's a bank holiday FFS. Are we not allowed any time without interruptions from people trying to sell us stuff?

Is it someone from the Labour Party?

Just make sure you don't tell them to fuck off.

I'm pretty much beyond caring about what a crap job it must be for them, if they are breaching the DPA.

It's harassment.

I no longer have the ringer on, on my landline. It's that bad. I'm TPS registered ffs.

The chuggers in my local shopping centre are harassing as well. They are aggressive knobbers.

All of this is meant to be outside of the law.

My 18 year old needed a job. She tried all sorts of other options, no joy. Now she's cold calling. She had to go to work on Good Friday and wasn't happy (would have preferred to be out with her mates having fun), but she needs the money, so she went. She is nice and polite though.

I have to agree with you linerunner. My patience runs very thin when we get calls during our leisure time for things like PPI and energy saving.

I shame them by saying that they could be ringing a vulnerable or elderly person who don't need their services and only have enough money to eat or heat. They don't care though sadly.
