To move the kitten?

Am mumsnetting in bed. DKitten is draped over my hip, snoring. I kind of need a wee. WIBU to wake and move him now, or do I need to wait until I REALLY need to go?

Terribly unreasonable. Much better to wet yourself than move a kitty kat. HTHWink

SylviaPouncer · 05/04/2015 23:31

Take the kitten with you?

strawberrypenguin · 05/04/2015 23:33

You can only move him if he gets bribed with treats! Grin

Silverdaisy · 05/04/2015 23:33

A kitten needs its sleep. Stay put. Mind you he won't care when you need your sleep though.

acatcalledjohn · 05/04/2015 23:33

You have a snoring kitten draped over your hip.

Wetting the bed (or suffering cystitis) is your only option.

Welshmaenad · 05/04/2015 23:33

I'd still have to wake him though, and the wee lamb is sleeping off a big bowl of roast beef dinner.

I think we need a photo to decide whether or not you are bring unreasonable :)

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 05/04/2015 23:52

Aww melts at cute kitten.
Just gently move him gently. If he Wakes just quietly soothe him, if he doesn't settle back to sleep. Take him to the toilet with you,
Can we have s picture

itosh · 05/04/2015 23:54

just go quick quick quick! The kitten will resume their position on your return

Cantbelievethisishappening · 05/04/2015 23:56

Definitely need to see a pic

Welshmaenad · 05/04/2015 23:57

He's a big fat kitten now - more an adolescent - but I hand reared him from 4 weeks (orphaned feral) so enjoy this picture of me carrying his tiny self around in my bra.

So cute! I think uwb v unreasonable to move. Sorry! You're just going to have to stay put :)

Steppeoneggs · 06/04/2015 00:01

Aww, I could get broody for a kitten Smile

(ignores the big fat cat, 3 chickens, 2 rabbits and 5 million fish that we already have)

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 06/04/2015 00:04

Omg. O.P. He is adorable. Sending him virtual cuddles. I love kittens. They're delicious aren't they. He looks so content with you.
Rearing him from 4 weeks old bet that was hard work but very rewarding.

ACSlater · 06/04/2015 00:05

I want him! If you move I shall report you to ChildLine and he will be more! Mwahaha!

HemanOrSheRa · 06/04/2015 00:16

Awww! He is gorgeous. No you can't move. You have to stay there all night if needs be.

Welshmaenad · 06/04/2015 00:18

Ha, he woke up and came to give me stinky gravy-breath kisses so I made a break for it.

He's adorable but very entitled. He came everywhere with me for weeks - work, supermarket, doctors appointments - so he thinks I'm his actual mum.

OP posts:
Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 06/04/2015 00:24

You are his mum though. You're goving him care and love. And doing everything for him that his mummy cat would have done. It's you he has formed his initial attachment with. The only difference is you didn't conceive a
And give birth to him.

Yambabe · 06/04/2015 01:04

or lick his bum to make him poo after meals. At least I hope you didn't!

DartmoorDoughnut · 06/04/2015 07:36

YABVVVU to consider moving that adorable kitten Angry

SylviaPouncer · 06/04/2015 09:24

How did you get away with taking him to work? Did you ask permission? I would love to go to work with a kitten down my bra.

Welshmaenad · 06/04/2015 12:29

I was lucky to work for some very laid back, creative people that treated that kind of eccentricity. He had a little foldable pen for safety. It was good for productivity!

I want to work at your work.
