Aibu to see a doctor because my shoes keep breaking?

I seem to have a very strangely turned ankle. When I wear any kind of shoe I seem to walk on an angle on one foot so that my weight actually rests off the side and wears a hole in the side of the shoe. With cheap shoes they can be useless after one wear, if I choose supportive shoes with good quality material they last more like a month but that's still having to buy an expensive pair of shoes every month!.

Flat shoes go quickly as the side rubs of the ground heels last a few weeks but because of the pressure Even chunky heels weaken quickly and break. 2 weeks ago I managed to totally split the heel of a very chunky heeled pair of boots they were just in half .

I have tried so many styles of shoes , I have tried supposedly supportive insoles but they left me in agony around my whole ankle.

I feel really stupid seeing a doctor about it because I suppose it is a fashion thinh but it is actually getting worse as I get older . My dh has said that I visibly walk on one side now!.

Aibu to ask a doctor about this or is it just a cosmetic problem?

Institute - not sure about the skin, but he is incredibly unbendy. Even though I am very fat I can still out my hands flat on the floor with knees straight, whereas he can hardly touch his toes.

www.joelvm.com/assets/images/pfbc/curled.jpg Feet shouldn't look like this. These are flat. Most children do have flat feet and this can sort itself out over time. A few children's flat feet do not improve and cause pain.

upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/3a/Children_flatfeet.jpg These are very flat feet. Ankles should not look like this (ds's feet are like this, they are very painful and he can't walk more than a few metres).

He does, however, get very very tired especially after exercise. He practically crawled off the pitch after a hockey match when the rest of the team bounced off Sad

Right. You have collectively strengthened my resolve. I will corner a boy and examine it's feet tomorrow.

Ooooh OP I have this but with both feet. If i wear just basic ballet pumps I get holes on the outer edges of my shoes in just a few wears. I've no idea what it is though. I thought maybe I just have super wide feet and that's why. Interesting that people are suggesting GP. Wonder if that's because it's only one of yours or if I should go too. Hmm.

He can be hypermobile still, Stealth. If his hamstrings are tight he won't be able to touch his toes, it doesn't matter how bendy he is. They use the Beighton score to measure hypermobility, he won't have to get 100%.

OP I'd start with a podiatrist, as they are far more clued up about feet then a GP. Maybe find one at a Sports Injury Clinic, as they are usually used to these sort of problems.
If needs be you can see a GP later.

You dont need to see the doctor because you break shoes. You need to see the doctor because, as your partner describes it, you walk on the side of your foot now. And what's more, this is a situation that existed when you met dp, and it has gotten worse!

Whatever is wrong, has been getting Zmore wrong, and might deteriorate until you are disabled.

Call this week.
