Whilst having a shower DD 17 months usually plays happily with books and toys on the landing. Stair gate at top of stairs and on bathroom door, then bedroom doors shut means she is safely and happily contained. Our toilet is separate from bathroom and DD has recently started saying "wee wee" and knocking on the door. Thought she was unusually quiet whilst I was in shower so called her name and she appeared at door dripping wet - she pointed at the loo and said "wee wee" then tapped her head and said "hair" - the look of horror on my face in complete contrast to her own very happy, pleased with herself grin seemed to prompt multiple repetitions of "wee wee, hair". I have never left the loo door open before and needless to say I won't again. My DD washes her hair in toilet water - AIBU to think that today I am the worlds worst mother?

Lol no that's hilarious! get a pic. She'll love hearing about this when she's older

Also another who finds it hilarious.. Grin Not the worst mother by a long shot!! Bet she was well chuffed with herself - who needs to waste water bathing when there's plenty of good water in the toilet haha!

Oh shit, my response was not laughter, more what would have happened if she'd toppled in. You are not the world's worst mother, it's bloomin impossible sometimes with toddlers. What on earth goes on in their heads?!

I too had visions of finding her face down in the bowl. I am however looking on the completely hilarious side, filing it for future embarrassing story telling and commending her for being environmentally friendly. Oh and she looked so totally pleased with herself it was very cute.

I remember catching my (now 22 year old) niece when she was about 18 months brushing her teeth in the toilet, I happily bring it up lots now she's older Easter Grin

Ds1 when he was about 2 came in from the garden eating something. I took it out of his mouth. It was a small slug Shock

He survived, and is now an adult with no slug eating tendencies. Most children do something gross at least once!
