I agree. It's like a silent scream of desperation in the form of an instagram pic. Look! I AM happy, really!

ScotsWhaHae · 04/04/2015 15:03

It's a crock of shit. It's Easter. One egg, handed over by mum or dad, and that's the start and end of it. A decent dinner and a walk to roll your eggs.

Easter bunny, presents, tons of eggs and all that is bull shit.

WorraLiberty · 04/04/2015 15:04

Juggling I can't see where the OP has claimed that this is the most she has to worry about in her life? Easter Grin

The80sweregreat · 04/04/2015 15:05

Just ignore, scroll past , or put up a picture of a whole aisle of them!

DioneTheDiabolist · 04/04/2015 15:05

Thanks Chopper. In that case OP I think YANBU. Does anyone know why FB doesn't have it's own topic? It seems to be very important to some people and I think they should have a special place that I can hide to discuss it.

Dione the phrase 'Facebook' in the title might have been a wee clue to the theme of the thread

JugglingFromHereToThere · 04/04/2015 15:07

We're having a little Easter egg hunt in the garden which we all like.
But there won't be pics because I've not worked out how to upload pics yet.
And we're happy enough to just do it!

But otherwise was going to agree Scots that no-one really needs more than one egg - unless maybe it's a basket or handful of little ones

bakingaddict · 04/04/2015 15:21

I remember a work colleague feeling sorry for me because I had so few facebook friends and offered me some of theirs. The only time I've posted was when DD was born nearly 4 years ago I'm just not remotely interested

manchestermummy · 04/04/2015 15:57

My SIL posted the pic of all the eggs my dn got several days ago. Dn is a baby. Dn won't be getting any eggs from us. I didn't like it when MIL people bought my dc tons of chocolate when they were babies, so I am hardly going to do the same. I suspect SIL did this to make sure we know that dn is ready to receive all the chocolate.

I have bought a little stuffed animal. So minute it probably won't merit a mention.

My two haven't even twigged that today is the big day....no egg from us. They get plenty from family. We bought a small toy each yesterday. We're snuggled on the sofa watching Transformers.

One friend, who is constantly posting about her amazing weight loss (and it is), has posted a picture of her dc's with about 10 eggs each!

CalleighDoodle · 05/04/2015 09:04

Mine have one kinderegg easter egg each and a couple of toys. I got my da some tiny tubs ifnslime for £2 which he has played with all
Morning. He doesnt like chocolate.

I can almost guarentee the photos of 100 eggs people will
Be complaining ajout their weight at some point.

HookedOnHooking · 05/04/2015 09:05

Bloody H has ruined my FB photo this morning. He bought me a bloody ALDI egg!! Easter Shock I can't put a pic of that up can I? Easter Sad

I cried so he promised me he'd buy me diamonds to make up for it.

Latara · 05/04/2015 09:36

I did once post an FB photo of an Easter Egg - my mum bought me a Thornton's egg & got my name iced on it; I was really happy so put it on FB! Sorry...

SouthWestmom · 05/04/2015 09:48

It's just an excuse to put a cute /pretty /nice photo of the dcs up surely? I've stuck one up of the four of them sitting behind their eggs - it made me laugh. I'm quite happy to see pictures of kids having. A nice day.

I'm wondering when the Easter Bunny became a thing to believe in?

We've alwatscgad eggs, but I've given by by is & one by each grandparent.

This year I havnt bought eggs. Whilst ds & dd were on residentials last week dh & I went on a london theatre trip & the kids asked us if we'd bring them something back from M & M World instead of an egg.

balletgirlmum · 05/04/2015 09:53

Hooked on - Aldi chocolate is gorgeous.

ElizabethHoover · 05/04/2015 09:53

you get them an egg each

job done.

No need for grandstanding

There are two fuckwits among my FB friends who have photographed the egg collection. One of these people is one of the nicest and most intelligent women I know. I now feel I have to re-evaluate my ability to accurately assess other people's personalities. She just CANNOT be a good person.

I was tempted to comment with the beautifully passive aggressive "Are you feeling ok?"

Her DD is not in the picture...her DD is 17 Confused

butterfly2015 · 05/04/2015 09:56

My teen has just bitten the head off a chocolate chicken. It was slightly scary.

SouthWestmom · 05/04/2015 09:58

Oooh quiero is it me? My dd is actually in the picture, second from left , just hidden by the massive fuck off mountain of eggs we are so rich we had to buy .
Presentation of Easter gifts later at dinner.. Will update at about 6 Grin

SouthWestmom · 05/04/2015 09:59

Elizabeth, sorry I can't help laughing at how cross you are. I really want to post a picture on this thread now.
