To think the 7 leaders debate will be an awful debate.

How can you have a 7 way debate. Why are Plaid Cymru, the SNP and Greens part of it Hmm. I think it's Cameron trying to avoid a head to head with Miliband.

The point I'm trying to make is that what you see on television is not what you get. I've been (un?)fortunate to meet several politicians, well known businessmen and members of the royal family thanks to members of my family. Very few are how they seem on television (either nicer or nastier).

The television debate is good in the sense that it can make people show an interest in politics and parties/policies we may not have previously been aware of come to our attention.

But what we see or hear on screen is not always the truth.

I could hardly get worked up about any of the smaller parties when Farage is on stage.

You know the country's f when a party that has a long standing policy of reducing corporation tax is described as "far left"!!!

Er, no, or I wouldn't have mentioned it given your earlier post.
With immoral men like Cameron and Farage on the platform I'm amazed anyone has time to both getting cross about Sturgeon.

if stabbing your won brother in the back is moral thenConfused I guess the meaning has changed since my day

Megatronmum · 02/04/2015 19:24

99pokerface he won a election fair and square his brother did not.

To be honest I think all I will show is how crazy the snp

Right I'm interested in how you believe the SNP are "crazy"?? Just because they want independence? or what?? They are on track for a remarkable number of seats in Scotland and since the No vote Scotland are still very much part of the UK.

ChaiseLounger · 02/04/2015 19:45

I think it will be awful. None of us trust them. It's a personality contest, because none of us are sure what their policies actually are.

betseyfly · 03/04/2015 11:09

Couldn't agree more Chaisel. They pretend they oppose each other but they all agree on international ‘free trade’ agreements, maintaining a massive ‘defence’ budget. Refusing to make the necessary cuts in greenhouse gas emissions – they won't compete on those issues you can guarantee that! They only argue on who we should put in charge of it all.

Does anyone really believe any of those dullards up there last night are willing to stand up to the greedy corporations that really run the country on behalf of the people? Now they want a mandate to keep the Status Quo..
