To not want to wake the dog by moving?

We rescued a fairly troubled dog a year and a half ago, we did know about his problems before we had him though.

I need to go to bed, but, for the first time ever, he has gone to sleep with his head on my lap. He's properly asleep too, leg and muzzle twitches, everything.

So, do I wait for him to wake up, or just go to bed anyway?

Aw bless. Go to bed, silly! He'll drop off again, no problem. You're the boss!

oh, and if he's comfortable and happy enough tonight, he'll be the same tomorrow. Probably more so if you wake him to go to bed yourself. Be the 'pack leader' - he needs you to be!!

Go to bed! It is lovely that he trusts you so much

YANBU to not want to wake him, but you know you have to.
You'll both be more comfortable.

Well done for helping him feel secure enough to fall asleep on your lap Smile
