I love silly jokes that are just a bit daft but nothing nasty.

My brother once phoned me to say my ex was sat in the audience of a live (shite) TV show and I spent all morning glued to the screen trying to spot him!

My DH told me the cows in the next field had escaped and were eating the washing... Did NOT fall for that one.

I was having a few teething problems with a new flatmate. I moaned to my mum about her, as usual she greatly over reacted and would keep telling me to be careful in case new housemate was an axe murderer or mentally unstable, as opposed to just a bit lazy and grumpy on a morning.

We made up over a bottle of a vodka and things went fine, but my mum would not let it drop.

When she rang me on April 1st, her first question, as always was "How's things with housemate?" I replied "Well, she's started washing her pots after herself and she cooked for us both last night, but I'm a bit worried. She's decorated all of her room with tinfoil and wears tinfoil under her hat and keeps muttering something about "them" hearing her. Do you think I should phone someone?"

It took me 15 minutes to convince her not to get the car and come and rescue me
