DH can't let it go

DC got a rejection letter from a school today (he'd got into our 1st choice already so we weren't bothered). I texted DH to let him know he had not got in, he texted back great, we can focus on knowing he's definitely going to school choice 1 now. The rejection letter was a standard one liner 'due to many applications we couldn't accept....we can't offer feedback' etc, so I threw it away. DH got upset when he realised Id thrown it away, I said it was only a one line generic letter, I don't understand why you are so bothered but sorry, I genuinely thought you wouldn't care about seeing it...now he is just banging on about it constantly and is still upset about it. I think he's being really petty and a ridiculous waste of our evening as he is now stroppy. AIBU or is he?

If he still wants it., please call up the school tomorrow requesting them to resend or email or just ask him to get the result on phone

Hi gamma, I suggested that and he said he would but then didn't follow it up-guess he wasn't as bothered as he thought after he'd gotten over the strop!

There you go then op... seems problem solved if he is not chasing the school authoritaties for this
