Just because I dont use a wheelchair, white cane, hearing aid or have an assistance dog or support worker with me at all times does not mean I do not have a disability or three.

Getting sick of people trying to evict me from disabled priority seats on public transport, or huffing because I take a while at the check out in the supermarket, or use a disabled toilet, or have time off work sick, or whinge that my husband has to do 'women's work'

Hidden disabilities are fuckers

Sorry OP, it must be hard.

However, how can people be expected to know? Bit harsh to blame others if there are no outward signs to indicate your disability.

Is there any way to flag up your disability, as it seems this may help you?

It's frustrating more than anything

The huffing from people as I walk slowly up stairs holding the rail, the 'give that seat up can't you see they need it', the 'I'm sick of covering other people's work while they go off 'sick' again', the 'oh you're cancelling yet again do you actually want to be friends still?!'. It all adds up

YANBU! I have a close friend with ME and she goes through the same things, people not understanding that she sometimes has to take the lift and that she can't stand up on the bus, and that sometimes she has to cancel at the last minute.

I have a hidden issue, until I collapse

I think most people I know think I'm being lazy when dh or mil have to step in again with the DT

My sister has a hidden disability but if you look at her you'd think she was a fit healthy girl. But some days she. An barely walk and still gets glares and stuff if she is too slow or sits in the disabled seat on the bus. Hidden disabilities do indeed suck.
