To say that boozy morning breath is vile

When you haven't had a drink of alcohol but your bedmate has. I'm not good with morning breath at the best of times (even my own) but when a stale alcohol smell is mixed in, it's enough to wake me up gagging and get me out of bed before I'm ready because I can't bear it wafting in my face.

My partner doesn't get it, she thinks she just smells a bit boozy. No, a bit boozy is what you smell like in the evening, while drinking, I don't mind that, the odd beery tasting kiss. But by morning it's turned into this disgusting, sweet yet sour rancid guff.

Am I being overly nasal-sensitive?

Nope, you aren't Smile I find morning breath vom inducing, thankfully DH doesn't drink so i don't have the pleasure of it mixed with the booze smell.

But I have a very strong sense of smell and find lots of normal things repugnant so we may just both overly nasal-sensitive Grin

Well, yes, unless she's trying to kiss you. I don't like bad breath either - who does - but it's just rude to go on about it unless someone is in a position to immediately rectify it and I assume you aren't stating your partner should get up before you in order to brush her teeth and not offend you with morning breath Hmm

I don't complain about her normal morning breath, ocean, I know we all have it. In fact, I'll lie there with it and suffering with the taste of my own because I know the smell of toothpaste makes her gag.

But having to get up at 6am on a Sunday because stale booze smell is blowing in your face. I spent all night lying with my back to her and by 6am it was either roll over and have it blowing inches from me, or get up; making a drunk/hungover sleeper roll over is impossible!

This is why I am in favour of separate beds :)
