sending an email to everyone on a team where your blaming one person is unpleasant, nasty and bullying

So this morning I got into work to find an email along the lines of

"Please all can you make sure you give all the information needed so avoid problems like below:"

Below was a link to a peice of work I did that had some knock on (minor) affects and had my name plastered all over it.

Firstly I could of given more detailed notes for the file that might have prevented it but to send an email to everyone pointing out my mistake has really upset me. The person that did this email has a much easier job than me, doesn't have to write anything - just review other people's work to tell them of mistakes. I'm not perfect I make mistakes , but I'm not in a serious job where anyone's life is at stake. Its just a clothes shop!

Aibu to be upset by this? I want to just forward it to my manager and to say I find it not productive to blame one person and highlight their minor mistake to everyone.

Also, 'could see a company taken to court'. I would like to see a company physically in a court! 'Of course I use proper language and grammar-anything else WOULD give a very unprofessional appearance' (it is a conditional clause so takes a conditional verb).

Disappointed,

You really are talking rubbish. Everyone does make mistakes. If you are in a job where you cannot make them, you double check your work and, if pricing multi million dollar deals, as I used to in my old career, you get someone else to independently price it as a check.

I guess if you are a surgeon (one of the very few professions that I can think of where you really cannot make certain mistakes) you just have to do your best to avoid mistakes. Having said that, even the best of them do occasionally lose patients by mistakes and have to live with it.

Management by humiliation and bullying is not management at all. I would dread to work for any organisation that used you as a consultant.

I was sacked without any warning. Once a bug company starts the motion your sacked a month later. They offered me 3 months pay. Solicitor said they could probably get me 6 months, but this would cost me 3 months pay and I could loose it all. Catch 21.
