I have a very well-paid job that I hate. AIBU to take a less well-paid job that I might like? Trouble is, I am main breadwinner

I loathe my job and my boss. I loathe the field I work in. I have no interest in what I do.
Unfortunately / fortunately I am very well paid. I am also the only salaried person in the family. DP is SAHP.
I know I am lucky to have a good salary (£100k + bonus + car).

I feel desperate but our lives have grown around the salary. AIBU to jack it in and try and find I job I might like on 50-60% of my current salary?

You should discuss it with your DP and not us. Would your annual budget really not suffer from a 40k+ drop in gross income?

I'm a bit sceptical that there are absolutely no location other than London with jobs in ýour field. Banking? Try Edinburgh. High ranking government? Cardiff, Belfast, Edinburgh, or one of the branches that moved/is moving from London. Film/telly? Try Manchester or Glasgow. Name the industry if it's not one of those and I'm sure that someone will know a corner of Britain where that activity also happens. ..
