To ask how common this is re toilets in boys school?

Ds has had upset stomach, and been off school.

I sent him in today as he has been well over the weekend, although he had a slight relapse this morning. Which I've put down to nerves as it's his first day back after being off for a week.

He was nervous in case he needs the toilet whilst at school. I told him to just tell the teacher and go if he is desperate.

He then says that he has never used the cubicles as most don't have doors on them, those that do have no locks and the school have no toilet paper.

I was surprised about this. He is in year 9, and never mentioned this before. He says if he needs to go he just holds on until he gets home.

Is this common? I was talking to a friend whilst dropping off my other cd, and she said it's probably because it's a boys school! Wtf?

Or aibu? I was planning on calling the school to say I don't think this is acceptable, or shall I just send him in with tissue just in case?

My brother went to a boys school and that wasn't the case. Is it perhaps an umbrella punishment for misbehaving, eg toilet paper wads on the ceiling or graffiti. At our primary school they used to replace the loo roll with that horrible shiny tracing paper stuff if people were throwing paper wads on to the ceiling.

I'm not sure about that but Ds won't go to the loo either atschool s the loos are unisex in a long corridor like line. He hates them.
