Who is your favourite mumsnetter MaryZ. That'll bring her running Smile (if only to tell us she never notices names)

Mintyy · 20/03/2015 21:11

I don't like the namechangers who obviously know who everyone else is and does a lot of nose-tapping and in-joking and commenting from the sidelines, whilst remaining anon themselves.

See it a lot on here.

Stratter5 · 20/03/2015 21:11

Sometimes it's necessary to NC because every time you post in your regular name some cunt has a dig. It's either NC or fuck off.

It's tedious.

Mintyy · 20/03/2015 21:26

Yes, of course its necessary to nc sometimes. More's the pity.

JuliaDream · 20/03/2015 21:33

MN is the only site I know where keeping the same name is a bad thing.

You get accused of spending too long on here, having no life, being royalty, being cliquey.

So I've embraced the NC.

Mintyy · 20/03/2015 21:36

I only post on one other site where it is more or less impossible to change your name. To do so involves long email exchanges with admin, setting out your case. Makes for a less fake atmosphere I find.

Pagwatch · 20/03/2015 21:43

I'm going to namechange to HullyFuckingGully.

TalkinPeace · 20/03/2015 21:43

here's a funny thing
one of the Education boards regulars used an internet search to find regular posters
but because it picked up

  • quantity, not quality
  • non name changers over 6 years
it included almost none of the regulars

MN is huge
my ultra, ultra helpful posters never ever turn up on this board FWIW

Stratter5 · 20/03/2015 21:44

The royalty/clique/no life thing gets very tedious. I have plenty of time on my hands, and I happen to enjoy MNing.

WorraLiberty · 20/03/2015 21:48

I'm too busy to type my own posts so I have a small child in India do it for me, for 27 pence per day.

Sparklingbrook · 20/03/2015 21:49

Regular and proud Stratter5. Grin

Pagwatch · 20/03/2015 21:49

I have all the time in the world to MN because I'm bone idle [actual fact]

JuliaDream · 20/03/2015 21:56

I don't know why it bothered me so much TBH.

I'm torn between 'fuck you' and 'bloody hell do I spend too much time on here?'

Christinayang1 · 20/03/2015 21:57

I'm new, so far I have learned about..

EveDallas · 20/03/2015 21:59

I used to have all the time in the world to MN, but I'm not retired any more Sad (not really, I'm loving being employed again).

...I do miss being able to MN during the day, but tbh it doesnt really seem as if I'm missing that much.

Hullygully · 20/03/2015 22:00

I'm torn between ncing and regularly giving up. Lovely to see everyone tho

Salmotrutta · 20/03/2015 22:00

There's an awful lot of people using text speak and xxx's now Shock
