We don't live up North so why call it 'tea'? Grin

High tea is definitely an early supper for children. Definitely Wink. Often prepared by the nanny. And tea is obviously 'afternoon tea' although people don't need to use the 'afternoon' bit. (But I can see why people aren't calling the children's evening meal 'high tea' anymore...that would just be silly Grin.)

I was invited for 'High Tea' in a restaurant and was gutted when the chairs were a normal height. I am not kidding! Blush
