fitted with seatbelts?

I find it extraordinary that there are such tight controls when it comes to children travelling in cars, yet a parent is expected to get on a bus,and grapple with sometimes more than one small child, sometimes a baby.....

What about parents having a set of reins for toddlers with an easy clip attachment to a fixed point on the bus seat?

This would obviously need lots of testing by professional health and safety types but if a parent wanted to have a seatbelt they have their own handy and if they didn't then no need to.

They could sit anywhere on the bus and it would cost bus companies the price of a small fixed clip.

Just a thought. It would probably be completely impractical/dangerous when tested but maybe not.
