To think its nosy to ask personal questions?

If you told a colleague you had a doctor's appointment/blood test/medical appointment/test etc... Would you find it nosy if they asked you why?
If they pestered you as to why what would you say to politely tell them to bugger off stop?

I think if you volunteer that you have an appointment, that is a risk you take. If the person is naturally curious nosy beggar they may ask.

Of course, the polite response to "I have an appointment" would be "I hope it goes well".

Not everyone gets that, though...

It is a bit ..... But, yes the more info you give out (e.g. Blood test) the more I think you're open to discussing it.
Less info, I.e. I'll be late in to work tomorrow, I'm at the doctor, is enough if you don't want anyone asking.

WRT how to respond if they pester you, I have found "I make it a point not to discuss personal issues in matters of work - it muddies the waters" delivers in a tone that says "this conversation is over" works wonders.

And then making a point not to over share in the future will prevent further problems.
