Ok, bit random, but we are just watching the one show and it's about Beavers, cute little things with big teeth and build wicked dams,
DH wants to know why a ladies foo is called a Beaver Hmm
He says they have no similarities atall which I guess is correct. I said I had no idea so he told me to 'ask my mumsnet people, someone will know!'

So dear ladies (& men) what is the answer? Grin

Perhaps some women have teeth in the wrong place Grin

Isn't it about fur - beaver fur was an expensive item used in coats etc, so a similar derivation to 'muff' (though muff is a bit more visually obvious as well).

Vagina dentata

Some of these explanations are entertaining:

American thing, small furry animal. Beaver, pussy.....

Owllady · 10/03/2015 19:33

Because they sleep all day? And cause mass destruction to wood?

milkwasabadchoice · 10/03/2015 19:35

Because they chew on wood, surely?

FructoseTart · 10/03/2015 19:35

Loving the answer 'they eat wood' on the link above!

OttiliaVonBCup · 10/03/2015 19:35

Because they are furry and hard working.
