To have some concerns about giving a toddler a ball bought from a pet shop?

OH bought it and threw away the packaging so no idea if it's suitable or not. Seems quite robust but rather heavy and not sure exactly what it's made of. It's plastic of some kind or other.

I suggested it would be best played with under supervision just in case but OH stridently disagrees. And has also decided because I'm concerned about this I am questioning his ability to be a good parent, and should accept his view on this as if I don't do that it proves I don't trust his judgement.

I love the pig! I gave one for a secret santa once-was hilarious.

I reckon there are regulations about the kind of plastics, hence petrochemicals, you can have in a toy marketed for an under three year old, which won't apply to a pet toy.

Or it could be full of catnip!

DD has ASD and we were told by health professionals that animal toys made great sensory toys. They are hard wearing and have just as stringent safety tests (as long as it has CE marks) and are usually cheaper.

I would let him play with it unsupervised, and when he chucks it through the TV screen, remind your DH that it was his suggestion. If it's the kind of ball I'm thinking of, it'll make a satisfying noise when it hits stuff.

It will be fine
