Sometimes there is a genuine reason not to pick up dog poo...

AIBU in thinking this? But it did occur to me the other day as I was walking to work and narrowly avoided a dog turd, that sometimes some people might not actually be able to pick up dog poo. What if they are blind or partially sighed for instance or a wheel chair user with a severe disability and physically therefore unable to do it? I feel really bad now for inwardly cursing all the irresponsible dog owners when really some of the dog poos might have been left because of these kind of owners. Opinions please!

I think i saw a woman with 2 kids, over 10 let dog go in grass next to path in the park. But as i was a distance away i coukdnt say anything. She did give me a bit of a look as she went by.
It really annoys me, especially as its mainly in the route to the shops and for others on the way to school (i think it must be people headed into woods)
There hasnt been a day without some there for months.

YABVU. Guide dogs aside, and I wasn't aware they were trained to poo in their garden so that doesn't even need to be considered, dog shit in the street is fucking disgusting and if you cannot clean up don't have the animal. I am constantly dodging shit on the school run and always looking out so my children don't step in it. I don't even let them go on the grass verges as it's always there. Recently there was loads, smeared all across the pavement right outside the school gate, had clearly been stepped in and was all down the steps. It's fucking disgusting.

And no I have never even seen a guide dog or anyone in a wheelchair walking their dog near here.

No excuses for this ever.

There's a couple of roads on my way to the station that are absolutely covered in shit. It's disgusting. One of the residents has put posters up on lamp posts with bags attached to attempt to get the owners to clean it up.

JohnFarley, my idea is to shoot the owner. First offence in left knee. Second offence in right knee. Third offence = dead. Too extreme?!

I used to borrow a neighbour's dogs sometimes, for walks. I swear they were trained to poop far away from people, so sometimes I couldn't find their poo.

I did just pick up the right sort of amount of a different dog's poo though, when that happened. Lovely to have a park where that is always possible.

Our local area has loads of dog poo bins with free poo bags attached so owners have no excuse at all for not picking up. They still let their dogs shit everywhere, though. DS2 was bike riding this morning while we walked the dog down our local woods and was constantly shouting "there's poo on the path" (he's only just had his stabilisers removed so can't steer away from it properly yet). It's vile. Even in long grass and woods and with two ridiculous children running about I manage to pick up after our dog.

Think it's bad your way - try Paris.

I have never seen so much cr@p. It's everywhere.

Obviously people are far too chic to pick up shit.
