My trug is filled with concrete

We've been having some ongoing building work done. A few things have been lost or broken and we've shrugged and got on with it.

After Christmas I bought myself a trug (gardening basket to put tools / cuttings etc in) and left it in the garage. I've just gone to get it to find it's filled with concrete.

AIBU to be really annoyed? I never even used it and now it's spoiled.

I left our builders some tea on a silver stainless steel tray in the garden they played frisbee with it Shock

JollyFrog · 28/02/2015 22:52

The tray not the tea Grin

My mum's builders used one of her crystal glasses to mix polyfilla Shock

Pipbin · 01/03/2015 00:25

I do hope you didn't let them use the loo!

Mine filled and coated Henry with plaster and brick dust Angry not even a vague attempt at cleaning it either. Poor Henry did not deserve such abuse but was dealt the final insult by my mother who thought he must be broken and took him to the tip Shock she now realises that Henrys have feelings are indestructible and that was an error in judgement an unforgivable act Grin

My tiler used my brand new hydro bath to rinse out his grouting buckets. Cost me $800 to fix it. I was furious.

CruCru · 02/03/2015 22:09

I've ordered another one and will fill it with all my gardening tools as soon as it comes. I might hide it in the garage.

I might order a new one and knock the cost off the builders' bill. (Or builder's bill if there is only one builder. This is mumsnet after all).

CruCru · 03/03/2015 09:39

It was only £6. I've chilled out a bit now. Think it was just the principle.

Yeah, I see your point but they've done a good job. It's not worth falling out with them over it.
