to restyle my magnolia IKEA house with the theme russian opulence even though I'm planning to move in 5ish years

So I did my whole house up to be neutral and appealing to a wide audience but I'm staying here longer than I expected. Still plan to move but many years later.

I really want to do a Russian theme as I'm addicted to gold leaf, faberge eggs and all that style. Everyone says I'm barking as it will put people off but I just can't stand this magnolia hell anymore, have been inside all day today and its driving me crazy, not quite like fight club..yet.

Surely people will see past any decoration and not be put off?

The flooring in those pictures is awful. I like the living and bedroom.

5 years is a long time.

Have it how you want it.

Maybe with an eye to not doing the things that are less vital to the theme but will be a bugger to change back to bland when 5 years is up.
