So I was at a friends house last night when a trailer for 50 Shades came on.

She commented "Oh my God that is such a good film"
Me Hmm "I thought it was terrible"

Disclaimer yes I've seen it, thankfully using Orange Wednesdays so it was really cheap and it was not my first choice of film and I've never read the books and never will.

I don't care if anyone reads the books or sees the film, the problem i have is that she was actually gushing about the film.

The soundtrack was amazing and fitted it so well. The acting was so good.

Theres a part in the film where she goes to visit her mother to have a break (4 hour flight) and he doesn't like she only told him the night before that she was going and then he turns up to "surprise her"

I said that it was so controlling and I would feel suffocated if that happened to me.

My friend replied - Yeah but you haven't read the books so thats why you think that, and well he is messed up because of what hes been through.

Obviously i'm being lighthearted but I just couldn't believe someone could gush about 50 Shades as if they'd just seen the most thought provoking documentary.

The appropriately named VulvaVoom beat me to it.

"Gushing" is rather an unfortunate word to use about someone watching this film Grin
