Just parking my car on the kerb near our house, 4 yr old dd in the back. Twats in a highway maintenance truck were behind me, had pulled over to let me pass..they then reversed back into my car, ripped a hole in the back and drove off. I sat there in shock for a moment and then tried to follow them, couldn't get their plate though.
I'm 36 weeks pregnant, just started mat leave and now I've got to pay out 350 excess out of the money we won't have to get it repaired.
Just who does that? fuckers!

That's an idea, thanks. I had a stupid nightmare/mind wandering moment last night when I was imagining what would have happened if I'd managed to park and was walking round the back of the car to get DD Stupid really, it's not the worst thing that can happen.
I have a feeling I've seen a van like it, maybe dropping someone off in our road? So will keep looking. I guess if I pay my excess and then I can keep looking, try and report them to the insurance after to get the excess/costs back.

However there is alternative to parking on kerb.

Parking further away. Something that noone ever seems able to contemplate for some reason.

Parking on kerb is dangerous. Esp for those in wheelchairs and with buggies.
