Maybe I am here.
Just so bloody frustrated! I got laid off a month ago and have been constantly applying and job searching.
Have had 4 interviews so far, one on Monday that I really want. The interview went well, I was nervous but clicked with the panel. They said they would be letting candidates know at the end of the week with the aim to start training next week.
Have been sitting by my phone constantly and... nothing. No email either.
It takes so much effort to interview, I spend alot of timeresearching and arranging a babysitter and tarting myself up just to be left hanging and I'm just fucking cross tbh.
I'm generally a laid back person but this is making me so tense :(

If I'd seen this earlier ah I'd have told you council employees all piss off at 16:01 on a Friday! (personal experience) Should have phoned at 3.30 I'm afraid.

I've only recruited a few times but have made sure unsuccessful candidates were contacted ASAP as I've hated being on the end of a non ringing phone. YANBU.

The worst interview I had was that they actually made it like the X Factor and would send unsuccessful people home after each round.

The guy running the interview was the big headed flash types.

I got sent home after a very 7 hours (no break for lunch), and it's humiliating to see all those pitying looks and being quickly ushered out by the two interviewers (in case you caused a scene?)

Very rude not to get back to you. I think if it was a job I desperately wanted then I would call them, only the once though.

Yanbu. I'm still waiting to hear back from an interview I had in November. Pretty sure I didn't get the job Grin

I hate this!!
DH has been in and out of work for the past 5 years-got made redundant twice-and he gets so despondant when he doesn't hear anything.Companies don't realise that you're probably hanging around waiting for the phone to ring,or checking emails every 5 minutes. It's the one thing that really pisses DH off and I think it's a bit rude really. How long does it take to email or ring someone and let them know the outcome???
