NAR appreciation and crazy parking lady thread 2

Nannyplum2015 · 19/02/2015 20:36

Just thought I'd start another thread as the other one looks like it will fill up soon! NDN has knocked again at NAR's house with no reply. I think she may be getting the message!

Can someone link the old thread as not sure how to do it.

Thanks

Googling the image of NAR I see he is the Australian face of diet coke www.dailytelegraph.com.au/newslocal/city-east/meet-the-aussie-diet-coke-guy-bondi-builder-matt-wilson/story-fngr8h22-1226665865721 Tis always the way with popular threads.

MadamG I'll just have another wee vino on your behalf.... Don't say we're not good to you Smile

PedantMarina · 19/02/2015 21:41

Awww, poor MadamG.

Me, I gave up Catholicism for Lent. Some 30 years ago. Grin

I bet if all the MNers on this thread contributed £3 we could buy and SORN a write-off old banger to be permanently parked in such a way as to inconvenience mad-parking-lady. It's such a shame that NAR and FONAR keep needing their cars.

sockmatcher · 19/02/2015 21:44

Brilliant!

Best thread ever.

I think if she doesn't get the message, you should go all surrealist and start leaving random items on top of her car. A copy of the Satanic Bible. Empty malteser packets wedged into her door handles. A row of bunting made of empty condom wrappers to string daintily across her windscreen.

4 stars. Genuis.

I think we should have a little car emoticon in honour of this fabulous thread. We could use it whenever someone is an entitled arse and call it [nannyplum]. Grin

Nannyplum2015 · 19/02/2015 21:59

2rebecca - you don't think I popped round NAR's house and actually took a picture of him?! Lol I googled diet coke model )as I remember they had a tasty guy on there) and used that as a joke!

Also, Nanny, I'd never even heard of Pom Bears before I became a mumsnetter, but it seems like I can't move for seeing them these days! The origin was a fred that's now in Classics, about a crazy couple the OP and her husband had over for dinner, after having been to theirs - apparently they seemed very wealthy but served really weird (cheap) food, allusions to "car key" parties and (around mid-fred) bonkers couple donating a bottle of turps to the school fete. come to think of it, that could explain a lot here it is - the "money shot" is about 2/3 down the page - long (funny!) post describing the dinner, in which most of Mumsnet fell in love with OP's husband (utterer of the infamous "Pom Bears anyone?" line).

Much as we are now with NAR. Blush

Momagain1 · 19/02/2015 21:59

If NAR and Mrs.NAR aren't answering the door to her, i suppose it's safe to go clean the kitchen? (Lamest placemark ever)
(The hovering in bottom right corner doesnt seem to work. In Safari on my ipad. So it is justified!)

Marking my place and offering round a wide selection of American varieties of Ben & Jerry's as my contribution to the party.

SirChenjin · 19/02/2015 22:05

Found you all!

Does NAR and FONAR know they have set hearts a' fluttering all over the UK in the last couple of days, I wonder? Karma does exist, and it's good

EhricLovesTheBhrothers · 19/02/2015 22:12

I must know the outcome! Awesome thread :)

ilovelamp82 · 19/02/2015 22:15

Amazing. Can't wait for the next installment. Guaranteed to be a better outcome than Lucy's killer.

goldvelvet · 19/02/2015 22:17

Grin at 2rebecca thinking that you have an actual professional picture of married NAR, topless none the less, not only that happy to post it on mumsnet.

Fluffyears · 19/02/2015 22:18

I get sheer rage is someone parks in my clearly marked spot. I would've dragged her out of her house by the hair, thrown her at her car and screamed at her to move it or I'd break her legs! I am classy though Grin

MerryInthechelseahotel · 19/02/2015 22:18

Ok op this is what to do and if this doesn't work try the other

PigletJohn · 19/02/2015 22:20

I have given up biscuits for Lent but should I give up Bearing False Witness instead?

JackieTheFart · 19/02/2015 22:20

I was chuckling over this thread so told DH about it.

He gave me this face Confused

I don't think he'd be a good MNetter Grin

cashewnutty · 19/02/2015 22:20

This thread has thoroughly cheered me up as I am currently bed bound with and awful inner ear virus thing. Go NAR and FONAR.
