I've wanted a big Mac for weeks (38+4 here) and OH won't go and get one for me. I might have to cry at him if he continues being a git. I did cry about not having chocolate after being diagnosed with GD.

Grinningcat · 18/02/2015 17:06

Definitely not being unreasonable. I cried at the Mw the other week because I'd lost a leaflet!

Mousefinkle · 18/02/2015 17:43

I cried because I specifically asked for a stuffed crust pizza and DH brought one home with a regular crust. Also cried because my brother stole one of my chicken nuggets Grin.

Bloody hormones... I feel for you not being able to give in to a craving though. They're insane when they hit. Hope it goes away soon or you can find similar GF chicken Smile.

YANBU. Sometimes I feel that way about KFC even when I'm not pregnant.

flora717 · 18/02/2015 19:02

I cried over my tights being 'nearly black' not black when about 32 weeks with DD1. YABU reasonable to wonder over any reaction right now. Reasonable/ Unreasonable. That kind of consideration is not for pregnant women!

nonamehere · 18/02/2015 19:06

Another coeliac here who misses KFC! M&S do chicken pieces in breadcrumbs in their gluten-free range; not quite the same but worth a try!

TruJay · 18/02/2015 19:32

When pregnant with DS I cried in the middle of burger king because they didn't put gherkins on my burgers, poor DH was mortified but I was so bloody upset!

TruJay · 18/02/2015 19:34

And I agree with PPs, Kfc really isn't that great anymore, all bone and no chicken mostly.

weeblueberry · 18/02/2015 20:06

Can't you get the chicken and take off the coating? Or is it the outside but you're craving?

Also you're not unreasonable at all. Last pregnancy I cried at 35 weeks because I went into sainsburys and they didn't have any coronation chicken in the salad bar...

sbear22 · 18/02/2015 20:56

Weeblueberry I can't pick off the coating, it will still cause a reaction. This coeliac stuff is hard!
I had paella for dinner. It was average.

YANBU. I fucking love KFC. The end.

Buxtonstill · 18/02/2015 21:14

In Kuala Lumpur, KFC do home delivery. I would pay £5 for delivery I love it so much. we don't drive and the nearest is a bus ride away...

Marmiteandjamislush · 18/02/2015 22:26

I have CD am pg and I like this recipe, but I don't use the sugar, but I have really sensitive tastebuds even when not pg so it taste wrong in savoury food to me.

CD Friendly SFC

I was pregnant the only craving i desperately had was fish and chips. On my birthday we got some, got it home to eat, opened it up and... NO FISH! Just chips. I was utterly devastated. Lovely DH went back to the shop to demand it, and we got free potato cakes.

showtunesgirl · 19/02/2015 12:36

OP, do give the cornflake chicken I posted a try. It's blinkin' marvellous and if you can whiz up the cornflakes in a food processor, even better as it then sticks better. The other bonus is that it's also low in fat. It really will satisfy those cravings and it's one of my fave recipes now.
