Posting for traffic as another post elsewhere has no replies and I want to order today.

Is the 600v worth the extra, over the 300v?

The 300 is pathetic
I have nutribullet 600 and its good but a friend just bought the ninja 900 from costco the other day on promotion at £60 is and so much more impressive

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 13/02/2015 07:06

I've got the Ninja, it's a 900 watt motor and fan-bloody-tastic!

ihatethecold · 13/02/2015 07:21

I've just bought the breville one from debenhams on offer at £20 after a Nutribullet thread on here.
It's bloody fantastic.
I'm so glad I didn't spend £100 on a Nutribullet.

I ended up buying the 300W Breville too - and it is doing everything I want it to. I put in big lumps of frozen spinach and it has no problems with them at all. Glad I got this one.

OhCobblers · 13/04/2015 18:29

Just doing some research!! Is this the Breville you're talking about??

www.amazon.co.uk/VBL075-600ml-Active-Personal-Blender/dp/B00OYL68VG/ref=sr_1_1?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1428945991&sr=1-1&keywords=Vbl075

And if so will it do what the Nutribullet does as a fraction of the price??!!

Thanks.

The nutribullet 600 is on offer at costco at the moment for about £90. (Saw it yesterday.)

SenatusPopulusqueRomanorum · 13/04/2015 19:31

I have got a first generation "Magic Bullet" that I bought many years ago. I think the motor is 200W. It has always been powerful enough (and I make ice-cream from frozen raspberries).

The problem is the screw that holds the blade in the lid. I have had to buy new blades, which as nearly as expensive as a new machine, about once every 18 months - 2 years. From what I have seen, the system is exactly the same on the new NutriBullet, so I am not sure I would spend £100 on one of those.

Quitelikely · 13/04/2015 19:35

Can you post a link to your 20£ breville

waithorse · 13/04/2015 19:42

Marking my place.

SmashleyHop · 13/04/2015 19:44

We bought the Nutri-Ninja 900 and love it. Blasts through frozen fruit, seeds and anything else we've thrown at it so far. Made breakfast so much easier for me when I'm rushing around herding children.

StepCatsmother · 13/04/2015 19:47

I have the Breville shown in the Amazon link OhCobblers mentioned.

It does the job fine, I'm really pleased with it.

bruffin · 13/04/2015 19:56

I bought the breville active from ocado. Its brilliant value. My dcs have made themselves smoothies every day now and it has no problem with frozen fruit.

OhCobblers · 13/04/2015 20:52

I also have a blender but wondering if the breville is generally better than a bog standard blender??

bruffin · 13/04/2015 21:50

I like the breville because the bottles have sports lids so the dc make their smoothies and take them to school with them in the bottle it was made in. You can buy a larger set with 2 larger bottles and 2 small bottles. You can buy spare large bottles for £10 each as well.

Grumpelstiltskin · 13/04/2015 21:59

Another vote here for the Nutri Ninja- cheaper, bigger, stronger motor, all-round new favourite toy. Makes light work of ice. Highly recommend!

CrispyFB · 13/04/2015 22:02

Been using the regular Nutribullet daily since November and never had a problem with anything including frozen fruit. At the time I wondered if I should get the 600 but I wanted a red one Anyway, it's served me just fine so far.

Of course tomorrow it will explode, mark my words.
